The Marketplace catalogue contains tens of thousands of products. These products are uniquely identified by their SKU numbers, which is why this SKU number is sensitive data that cannot be modified on the online store.

In order to allow systems to handle products from different suppliers with the same SKU number without problems, the SKU number of the products is given a so-called prefix after you have added them to your Product List.

As a result, this prefixed item number will appear in your Product List (Product Management - Products) and in your webshop as the item number, and the prefixed item number will also appear in your orders.

Example:

The Ilcsi Apple Lemon Curd is listed in the catalogue with the following article number:

SKU: 1010104200U
โ€‹

After selecting the product, a supplier prefix is assigned to the article number (in this example, the Ilcsi supplier prefix is LCSS), so it will be listed in your Products with the following article number:

LCSS-1010104200U

The article number with the prefix will also be added to the

in the admin interface:

...and also on the public, front-end interface of the webshop:

Important: The article number of products selected before 16 April 2021 will NOT be affected by the prefixing described above, they will continue to be handled by the systems under the same article number (i.e. the same article number in your product list and in your webshop) as the supplier has listed them under, which the supplier is already using.
