Testing is an important part of launching cooperation. It allows you to check that the systems are communicating properly or that the setup has been done successfully.

There are two ways of testing: a test order allows you to check only the functioning of the IT systems, while a test purchase allows you to check the whole process, so you can also experience how your customer will receive the order. (How to do a test shopping?).

Below you can read about testing your settings and system integrations.

If you have integrated all systems (your webshop, Webshippy, perhaps your billing system), and uploaded your products to Webshippy, or selected them from our wholesale marketplace, please go on to verify the following functions. If you notice some errors, make the necessary corrections.

  • Are your products successfully synchronized? You can check this at "Product management" - "Products".

  • Have the chosen catalogue products appeared in your webshop?

  • If you have your own products, do all of them have their own article number and bar code at Webshippy? Have you made sure not to include any spaces and special characters?

Everything seems fine? Ok, then place a test order!

First of all, turn off the “Order Fulfillment method” and select “Manual order processing” at “Settings” – “Shiping and order processing”.

After that, place an order as a customer in your online store, which - if the systems are well connected - will appear in a few minutes in the "Orders" list of the "Order management" menu item in Webshippy. It is important that the package processing has been set to "Manual", as this will give the order entering the system a status of "On hold". This ensures that we do not physically start to assemble the parcel.

IMPORTANT!!! We can not differentiate the order based on the comment “Test order”, you put in the comment field. Therefore, if this is the only indication of the test order, we will process and ship them the exact same way as we would do in the case of real orders. To avoid these test orders to be sent, it is necessary to set the “On hold” status.

Please check the following information of your order at Webshippy:

  • Does your order appear under “Orders”?

  • By clicking on the number of your orders under the “Orders” menu, you can verify:
    - Is the customer information correct?

    - Are the delivery and payment methods transferred correctly?
    - Are the appropriate items listed under “Package content”? Please pay special attention to this if you have set some packaging rules or created product packages.

  • Is the billing information correct? At the same place, under "Invoice content", you can also verify if the electronic invoice we issue is correct. Are the prices and the VAT rates right? Is the total amount correct? Do all items and services appear on the invoice?

  • Did you make sure the C.O.D. amount is correct? Do you see the delivery charge and/or the C.O.D. handling fee (if applicable) on the invoice? If not, take a quick glance again at this article.

If the test order is successful and everything works fine, you can go ahead with the trial purchase. We recommend you send your order to us! Buy something in your own shop for your own account, i.e. place a live order.
