If the webshop system (engine) you are using is not listed in the list of systems that can be integrated, you have two options to get your orders into Webshippy's system during the collaboration: automatic, with an API connection that requires development, or manual upload. In both cases, select "Other" under "Sales Channels" and then fill in the information according to which of the two options you choose below.

With an API-based API development, you can choose to have your sales channel managed by a web-based API.

Self development using the API documentation

Webshippy's system can receive orders from any webshop, if the webshop allows sending and receiving data. To do this, you can set up the connection using a developer, for which you can find the API documentation at:

In this case, all you have to do is provide your developer with the contact details for this page.

Manual upload of orders

Even if your online store is not connected to Webshippy, you can still upload orders manually, for example using an Excel spreadsheet (XLSX format). However, you will still need to create a Sales Channel in Webshippy so that we know which webshop the uploaded orders come from (if you are going to upload orders from multiple webshops using an Excel spreadsheet, we recommend creating an "Other" sales channel for each webshop and uploading the orders from the different webshops to the corresponding webshop using a separate Excel spreadsheet)

Create "Other" sales channel

Click on "Sales Channels" in Settings and select "Other" from the webstore icons above.

Enter a name and a short name for your webshop that helps identify your webshop (e.g. Goods webshop). The webshop name will appear on the courier label, which your customers will see upon receipt and identify that this parcel came from you. Also, the full name of the webshop will appear in the body of the email sent to you about the package closing, and the short name will appear in the subject line of the same email.

Enter your customer service phone contact information. It's important that you provide contact information that your customers will be able to reach you at, as this will also be included on the shipping label.

And in the Web Store URL field, enter the web address of your web store (e.g. https://www.favoriteproducts.com).

You don't have to fill in the "API key" field, you will only see the code that your developer will insert into your webshop after saving your settings, if you have an automatic API connection. In case of manual order upload or manual order entry, this field has no role, feel free to ignore it.

In the "Online Invoicing" field, select the invoicing profile if you want Webshippy to assist with automatic invoicing (for more information on this, see Outsourced Invoicing).

Fill in the following fields according to your choice, then save the settings by clicking on the "Save Web Store" button.

You have now created your sales channel. If you want to create more than one store in the system, repeat the above steps.

IMPORTANT!!! If you want to connect your custom-built webshop to Webshippy, you can easily do that with our detailed API documentation.

You can find all the information you need to connect to the API here.
