From 1 July 2020, the legislation on the extension of the NAV data reporting obligation will enter into force. This means that all businesses and all invoices issued to domestic taxpayers will have to provide data to the tax authority.
In order for Webshippy to be able to transmit the correct data to the integrated invoicing systems, it is necessary to record the taxpayer's customer tax number. This can currently be done manually on all order data sheets.
At Webshippy, we work to enable our partners to automate all processes as much as possible. With WooCommerce, this is not an easy task, as the source code of the system is open.
To ensure that your WooCommerce store is compatible with the changes coming into force from 1 July, you will need to do the following:
Install an extension to retrieve your tax number
Since the basic installation of WooCommerce does not include the option to request a tax number, you can do this by installing a separate extension. To do this, we recommend the "HuCommerce | Hungarian WooCommerce add-ons" plugin, which you can download from the following page:
This extension will make the tax number field mandatory when filling in the company name. The data will also be sent to the invoicing software via Webshippy.
Update the Webshippy plugin
Download the new, updated Webshippy plugin
Log into the admin interface of your webshop and open the Extensions / Installed Extensions page.
Locate the Webshippy plugin in the list of plugins and click the Disable and then Delete buttons
At the top of the page, click the Add New button, then the Upload Plugin link and select the Webshippy plugin you downloaded
Once the upload is complete, on the Installed Plugins page, locate the Webshippy plugin and click the Activate link.
