Commissions on Marketplace products

We charge a transaction commission on wholesale sales made through Webshippy dropshipping, based on the wholesale price, with a percentage that varies by product category.

When you list your products, after entering the wholesale price, you will see the exact catalogue price at which other online stores can buy your products (they will only see the Catalogue Price and the Recommended Retail Price).

Because this commission is always built into the product's Catalog Price and is actually paid by the sellers (i.e. the online stores selling your products), it is not a cost to you. However, when setting the wholesale price, you need to take into account that the catalogue price increased by the commission should remain sympathetic to the selling public.

Due to the nature of the market, margins on Marketplace products can vary significantly, and there is often a wide variation between margins for different categories in the Marketplace.

In order to mitigate these differences and improve the profitability of sales, Webshippy applies different transaction commission rates for each category.

Webshippy offers varying levels of commissions to help your products compete, but we ask that when setting wholesale prices and realistic suggested retail prices, you also consider the interests of webshippers to have margins on sales that generate a profit in addition to recovering costs.
