You can easily become a supplier by becoming a dropshipper with Webshippy dropshipping. You can allow other webshippers to sell your products, which they can purchase from you at wholesale prices through Webshippy's system.

To become a dropshipping supplier, you must publish your products to the public product catalogue, where you must enter the wholesale price, suggested retail price, VAT rate and select the appropriate product category.

You can enter the required information in the system in two ways: by going to the "Listing in Catalogue" menu individually within the admin interface, or by updating your existing products in the system in bulk using XLSX upload.

1. List products one-by-one

1. Navigate to the Marketplace "Offer for Marketplace" page

To start dropshipping wholesale, you must select a default billing profile, which will receive an informational message on the "Listing in Catalog" page. When online stores purchase products sold from you through the system, our system will automatically generate a wholesale invoice on your behalf. Even if you do not have an invoicing profile set up, you will still need to create a manual invoice to upload your wholesale invoices to the system in PDF format.
Help on setting up your invoicing profile can be found here:
Invoicing Settings

2. In order to be able to register products, the following data must be provided:

Wholesale price (net)
The price you would like to receive for your products if they were sold by an online store.

VAT rate
The default VAT rate for the product at which the gross amount is calculated on the wholesale invoice.

Commercial retail price (net)
The price at which retailers publish the product in their store (this is only a suggestion, web stores may differ from this price).

Category
The main category and subcategory of the product, which makes it easier to browse the product catalogue.

Reserved Set
The amount below which you do not allow the product to be available to others.

To edit the data, click on the cell and enter the appropriate value. The data will be automatically saved as soon as you edit it

To finalize the listing of products, it is also necessary to upload an image (preferably in square format) and a product description. You can already import this data automatically if you are using a supported (Shopify, Woocommerce, Shoprenter, Unas) ecommerce engine.

3. You can add products to your product catalogue with a single click, using the toggle at the top of the lines. When you move the switch, the product will automatically appear in the catalogue if there is stock available.

2. Bulk listing of products with XLSX upload

In case of a large number of products, you can easily import the required data by uploading an XLSX file. If you do not have any products uploaded to Webshippy, all you need to do is create the XLSX table using the sample file below and make sure that the uploaded file contains exactly the same columns as in the sample file. The contents, possible values and instructions for filling in each field in the import table are included in the sample file.

(log in to the Webshippy admin interface before clicking on the link)

If you already have products in your Webshippy system, but the data needed to display them in the Marketplace catalogue is still missing, you can update the information in bulk using the excel spreadsheet above: just enter the item numbers of the products and the data you want to update.

What fields are required to be filled in when you add a product to the Marketplace catalogue?

In addition to the required basic information, the following information is mandatory if you want to upload your products to the Marketplace product catalog:

Wholesale price (net)
The price you would like to receive for your products if they were sold by an online store.

VAT rate
The default VAT rate for your product, which is used to calculate the gross amount on your wholesale invoice.

Commercial retail price (net)
The price at which retailers publish the product in their store (this is only a suggestion, web stores may differ from this price).

Main category, subcategory
The main category and subcategory of the product, which makes it easier to browse the product catalogue.

Which product categories can I put my products in?

The following table contains the pre-created categories into which you can categorize your products (you can also find this in the "Categories" tab of the XLS sample file):

Product Category Table for uploading to the Marketplace catalog

How to upload a table

1. Navigate to the "Product Management" - "Products" page

2. Select "Import Products (XLSX)" under "Tools"

3. Upload the XLSX file filled with data.

4. At the end, don't forget to list the products in the product catalogue (menu item list in Catalogue), using the button at the beginning of the lines. Once you move the switch, the product will automatically appear in the catalogue, in case there is stock available.

Rules-to-watch-out-for

  • All products must have a seperate line

  • Any rows where the 'A' column is left blank or contains a # will be ignored.

  • If a product has multiple product variations, each single product variation should be placed on a separate line with a separate SKU (item number)

  • For an existing SKU, the product(s) data will be updated during import, whichever value you do not want to update should be left blank.

  • Leave the column layout untouched. Do not insert new ones, delete or replace any. Do not rewrite theheading text, in the first line.

  • Always fill in the mandatory fields.

  • The XLSX file must be saved in compatible mode, because the system will only be able to read the data from the workbook in this mode.

When exporting products, you will get a spreadsheet that can be imported straight away. So we recommend this method for bulk modifications. Make sure to save the table to be uploaded as XLSX file.
