  1. In Shopify Admin, navigate to Settings / Taxes

2. Check whether the Tax Rates are listed for the countries you are shipping to from your online store and if the correct VAT percentage is set next to them. If a country is not listed or has an incorrect VAT rate, click on the country name to change the settings.

Attention! If you are exempt from VAT, you should still make these settings, but use 0% instead of the standard VAT rate, as appropriate. In all other cases, use 27% or the rate that suits your tax habits.

3. In the Tax Settings section at the top of the screen, make sure both checkboxes are ticked. "All taxes are included in my prices" - The prices shown on your website already include the following VAT rates. "Charge taxes on shipping rates" - VAT is also included in the shipping costs.

4. In the pricing section of each product's detail page, tick "Charge taxes on this product", i.e. the system will charge VAT on this product. Important: this must be checked even if the VAT rate is 0%, otherwise the VAT content will not be passed to the billing systems.

If you have set all this up correctly, you can be sure that the online invoicing systems will calculate the VAT content on the invoices generated from your online shop orders in accordance with the current NAV rules.
